What Ofsted recognised
Happy children who feel safe and valued
The inspector described children forming warm relationships with staff and leaders, turning to familiar adults for reassurance, conversation and affection. From helping babies settle to supporting children’s growing independence, attentive care and responsive relationships are at the heart of nursery life.
“Leaders place children's physical and emotional wellbeing at the heart of daily care.”
Growing confidence and readiness for school
The report highlights children’s secure progress and their ability to use what they learn across different activities and routines. Through play, stories and practical experiences, children develop their knowledge alongside the confidence to make choices, share ideas and try things for themselves.
“Older children are well prepared for school.”
Thoughtful support for every child
Ofsted recognised our inclusive approach and the close work between staff, families and specialists. Activities, routines and environments are adapted so that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and those facing barriers to learning, can participate alongside their peers and make progress from their individual starting points.
Close relationships with families
The report describes families feeling welcomed and involved, with parents and carers valuing regular communication, responsive support and close relationships with the team.
It also recognises the nursery’s investment in the garden, where children grow plants and vegetables, explore natural materials and enjoy imaginative and physical play.
Building on our strengths
We’re proud of this recognition and committed to continuing to improve children’s experiences.
The report identifies two next steps: strengthening interactions that support babies’ communication and language, and making more use of toddler mealtimes to encourage conversation, independence and learning.
